The FIFTH Outside Change Cup & Freedom to Dance Ball will once again be returning to the magnificent Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne.
The Plaza Ballroom is situated underneath the Regent Theatre on Collins Street, Melbourne. The space is a beautifully restored Ballroom dating back to 1929. The moment you enter the breathtaking venue you’ll be swept away to a world of magic.
With its elaborate Spanish Rococo architecture, grand staircase entry and bespoke chandeliers the Plaza Ballroom will provide you with an unforgettable day of beauty and glamour befitting a Ballroom Dancing competition.
Run as DanceSport Competition through the day, the doors close in the late afternoon, to re-open in the evening for the Freedom to Dance Ball. This event is truly one of the first of it’s kind in this country. The finals of all the major events are danced to the backdrop of the magnificent room, fine dining, and social dancing, something we just do not get enough of on the competition circuit in Australia.
The evening is a 3 course sit down dinner, in a venue renowned for its exceptional catering and outstanding service in a setting unmatched in history, elegance and grandeur. The Executive Chef, David Ricardo and his team have a strong reputation for their contemporary and innovative style and David has previously been awarded two chef’s hats.
Menus are complemented by a carefully selected wine list and beverage offering, included in the price of your ticket.
