The Professional Rising Star Championship was a highlight of the Australian DanceSport Championship Saturday night program. We believe from information sourced, that this event was introduced in 1982 but are not 100% sure on this information. We do know however, that it ended with it’s last championship event in 2002. It was a fabulous stepping stone for new, up and coming Professionals and a wonderful honour to win this event before the Professional Open events on the Sunday.
